What do you ask for when you go to get your hair cut?
Going tomorrow, but I never really know what to ask for. I usually end up saying 'number 3/4/5 back and sides' and 'a bit longer on top' but i really don't know what the 'number' thingies actually mean.
What do you ask for - that looks good in your opinion ;)?

Idon't even ask. I go to one place and only one place, and they know what to do. So I guess I'm screwed once I move too far away, cuz I commute a whole freaking hour just to go to my barber at home.

Tell 'em that you want "business in the front and a party in the back" If you're in the South, they'll know exactly what you mean.

i just go in and sit down. ive had the same barber for the past 14 years and we dont even exchange a word to each other anymore. i leave my complex, put my car in neutral, slide down the hill to his shop, get my hair cut, pay, leave and repeat the process again in 2-3 weeks.

3.5 on the sides and back, 4 on the top. Easiest cut of the day for the stylists.
