Trying to decide on whether to wait for new HDCP Video cards with HDCP on the GPU itself, or the current 7900, or 1950 with HDCP on the Video card board.. or going without HDCP.
My question is, as recording enthusiast, do I stand to lose any control over what I can record with HDCP?
The gain is obvious, without possible negative, the new gpus from nVidia with the 8800 and Ati are truly drool worthy..and I would like to have HDTV without any downgrading, but I am concerned with a loss of control over what I can do with content.
So.. what do I stand to lose and .. is there any way to get HDCP and not lose control and "fair use"??
Thanks!
