To put it simply, dont buy it :). I have one, and it has excellent colors and is very sharp. HOWEVER, the monitor has a flaw in it which I have found to be extremely annoying. Any time a bright object moves against a darker background a very long bright trail will be left behind the bright object. Now all monitors do this to some extent, but the Iiyama seems extremely bad. Any time im playing a computer game or watching a DVD that is mainly dark with bright objects, those bright objects seem to almost blur the screen as they streak across it. Needless to say its quite annoying, so if I had to do it over again I would probably go for a 21 inch sony, or even a 19 inch sony and save a little cash.

I have the iiyama visonmaster pro 450 and i love the clarity of it. It has a few flaws but you can expect that on the larger monitors or at least the flaws to be more noticable. I would look at the iiyama, sony, or hitachi. Check the reviews from various sites and see what the best monitor is at this time. Thats what i would do. Good luck!

I've got the Vision Master Pro 510, and I think it is great. I compared many monitors visually in the stores before buying this one. The only thing close in quality are some SONY monitors, which are more expensive. The Diamondtron NF True Flat CRT tube is very sharp and has great color saturation. You need a really good quality video card (i.e. Matrox) to take advantage of the higher resolutions and refresh rates, though. That is one reason I went for the (better value) Iiyama; so I had money left over to buy a worthy video card. I have only noticed the phosphor persistence during the starting sequence of some games where the screen is blanked for dramatic effect before panning their logo or title across it.
See the AnandTech review: http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1097&p=1
"the Pro 510 also uses Mitsubishi's DiamondTronTM CRT. The result is breathtaking clarity, and precision of anything that is displayed on the CRT. "
I have 2 Iiyamas now, and I think their display quality is top notch, but I hate their controls. Actually, I don't understand why reviewers have not complained more about the lame controls. There are only 3 buttons to control everything. That did not keep me from buying another one, though. I spend more time looking at it than I do adjusting it.
