I think there are some things that everyone agrees on, but both sides (liberals/conservatives) are blind to and keep arguing about. I'd like to start a series of polls asking various questions. Answer THE QUESTION. Do not imply anything or read into the question really deep, just look at the question independant of all other information and answer it truthfully. You may back up your answer below if you wish but focus only on the single question that is asked.

Locked until you comply with our request to eliminate "I wish he were dead" from your last poll choice.

I want the option "he's not the real president. Dick Cheney is"

anyways, I dont like him, and I certainly would not wish anyone dead. And, I would not vote for him

No sir, I don't like him. I am not one who usually will ascribe to malice what incompetence can explain. I think he has good intent, however hasn't a good grasp of the world around him. He truly cannot understand why the Iraqis did not throw roses at the troops. The fact that there seemed to be little in the way of a plan AFTER the war points to that. Simply, I think he would be a fair president if our moment in history were a smooth one, however as the curse goes, we live in interesting times. I think he is both stubborn and has a too great an ego. Clinton suffered the last failing, however Clinton hoped for the chance to make a name in history. The Fates left that for Bush though. As an aside I find that ironic. No matter, I believe Bush has trouble grasping more than his own POV. I wish he had more of an intellect. Can't find it in me to spend the effort of hating him and wishing him dead. Too much death to go around already. Besides, one day later in life he may learn to understand some things. I don't want the US and consequently the world to be his tool for expanding his personal vistas. Too great a risk in a man with dreams of shaping the world who seems to have a sense of infallibility and hasnt the restraint of reelection to worry about

I agree. I see a man who sticks to his guns, regardless of what people think. He doesn't give into pressure, and believes in national defense. Although I still don't perceive him as the presidential "type", I like his cabinet/advisors (I personally believe his running mate this go-around should be Condi Rice, but that's another topic :p ) and believe he has made good decisions for our country.

The Dub and his Handlers have no shame and didn't think twice about using the tragedy of 9/11 to their advantage when it came to executing their predetermined plan to invade and occupy Iraq. He has zero credibility with me and with most of the world. His pandering to the Ridiculous..err ..Religious Right is also shameful.

If he was pro- middle class and not so religiously conservative.........he wouldn't be so bad.

I generally support parts of his foreign policy and on a few domestic issues.

The country will better off if he loses in November. But I expect he will win. Relief probably wont arrive till 2008.

He is not a good president, but he still does one or two good things per month

He is president. That is about it. Even that is sometimes debatable with all his shady advisors.
I am reminded of a Republican man who was living in old Cynthia McKinney's Georgia solidly Democratic district. During her democratic primary challenge in 2002, he switched party and was quoted in the AJC as saying if he could, he would vote a million times against Ms. McKinney.
BTW, your poll is biased but you knew that. I don't wish anyone harm but if I could, I would vote 1 million times against GWB.

That is certainly a valid opinion of him. Being a good person, and a good and level headed leader are definately not one and the same.

I definately do not think he should be leading this country. I think his policies are flying in the face of everything we stand for.

I voted one above the dead one...although my girlfriend would have voted the dead one I'm sure. :)

This is crappy poll. Wish he were dead?! I'm not reponding to any of these. My vote would be, terrible president that has made a few good decisions, (but most of these on minor issues) and mostly bad decisions on major issues.

None of these:

I REALLY like him. He is perfect.
1 (votes) 2.04 (%)
He is a good man and a good president.
10 (votes) 20.41 (%)
He's ok. He is better than the alternatives.
7 (votes) 14.29 (%)
He's ok, but I wouldn't vote for him.
1 (votes) 2.04 (%)
He is not a good president, but he still does one or two good things per month.
16 (votes) 32.65 (%)

There needs to be an option, "He is evil incarnate."

I do not wish him (or anyone) dead so I did not vote.

Please modify your poll to include the evil incarnate option instead.

The only good thing about this Bush is that he has moved Richard Nixon up from the basement of worst Presidents in modern times.

"He is not a good president, but he still does one or two good things per month."

I'm sure that he's done something good every once in a while...probably minor though :D

Yes, please change that poll choice, it's entirely inappropriate to wish our President dead.
