Personally for ease of use and quality, I like the CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD combination.
Especially if you have 2 drives, insert your movie and a blank, with a few clicks off you go.

For ease you can get anything you want. Dvdshrink is outdated, but free and mediocre on quality compared to what you can get these days. CloneDVD or any of those other solutions will work too, but at sacrificing cost.

For the absolute best? Without a doubt Cinema Craft Encoder Basic (pro if you can afford or already have) coupled with DVD Rebuilder Pro. Ripping to HDD can be taken care by Dvd Decrypter which is free and easily obtainable. Any other combo/program will not even come close to the quality produced by CCE and DVDRB pro.

Of course if you don't want to mess with anything while retaining perfection, you can just buy dl disks and be done with it all and not worry.

This is the first time I have heard these programs mentioned. Usually AnyDVD and CloneDVD are the ones mentioned. So between Cinema Craft Encoder Basic (pro if you can afford or already have) coupled with DVD Rebuilder Pro. Ripping to HDD can be taken care by Dvd Decrypter and Any&Colone which one? I am using DVD shrink with Dvd Decrypter and have had problems with frezzing at the end of the DVD. By the way what is the difference between the purchase and free AnyDVD is it worth $$?
Thanks for the info.

I have to agree.
Although if you are looking for exact copies with no compression I have to say DvDDecrypter is the best, however you can no longer get this program as it is now illegal to distrubute because some evey company bought distrupution rights and won't release it.

Because I like to archive the original ISO on my 600GB Media Center and DVD shrink changes the encoding.
