I originally planned to stay until May of 2008 but I decided that I would rather graduate and get out of here. I don't regret this choice but I'm lost as to what I should do after graduation.

After making this decision and confirming with the university that I'll be graduating, I started searching for jobs. Most of the recruiting is regional and I found it hard to get into the big city offices (LA, NYC, Chicago, etc.) In hindsight, I should have been more open to other cities like Atlanta but I really really really wanted to get out my region (southeast). I've had about 10 interviews this semester and about 5 of the 10 interested me. Again, this was way in the beginning of the semester and I limited my choices too much. Now it's towards the end of the semester and I've not gotten any offers. I'm still pending for one interview for the office visit but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Some of the other companies have graduate training programs which start in July but I'm graduating 7 months before that.

What should I do?
I'm really broke so I need a job and I'm a bit disappointed in myself that it didn't work out for me.
In a week, I'll be packing and moving all of my stuff to my dad's in Georgia. I can stay there as long as I want but I'll be bored to tears. During the end of December, I'm going to NYC for fun and to hang out for about a week and taking my GREs while I'm there. It's after this that I have no clue what to do.

Any work is good until you find what you really want. Sounds like you need to stop being broke and that will begin by taking what you can get for the time being. :)

And if you're moving back to Dad's you might consider having 2 jobs and a low overhead. It will put you in a position to build some reserves, even if the arrangement is temporary.

Avoid work as long as you can, do whatever it takes, never get a job. Its better to be broke and happy then wake up at 7:30 every morning for your daily commute to HELL.

Don't graduate. Stay the whole year, you never get to do undergrad again!
