It's not a dumb question because they don't call it Canadian Bacon.

They have back bacon in England (actually most of it comes from Denmark), and it's absolutely nothing like circular, patty like Canadian bacon. It's strips kind of like American bacon, but with an irregular shape, and much more tasty than either the Canadian or American varieties.

This is what I'm talking about:

back bacon. That reminds me... less than 2 weeks til the pig goes to the butcher :)
I'm going to have a lot of canadian bacon.

After butchering, there'll probably be about 250-300 pounds of pork headed to my freezer.

A better question is, do any pizza places ACTUALLY use real "canadian" bacon on their pizza? Almost all of the ones I've seen use ham...but people continue to call it canadian bacon for some stupid reason.
