C:\WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS\ndisuio.sys

and

File Version : 5.1.2600.0 (xpclient.010817-1148)
File Description : Generic Host Process for Win32 Services (svchost.exe)
File Path : C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe
Process ID : 0x420 (Heximal) 1056 (Decimal)

ndisuio.sys is the NDIS user i/o system file

It wants to connect to the Internet per my firewall. Why?

Well I know that svchost.exe if infected spreads the worm Welchia. I would run the fix from Symantec on their site.

OK I am scanning now using Norton. I will let you know what comes up. Usually Norton automatically catches viruses for me. I am not sure what is happening here.

Have you updated to the latest version of the virus definitions? You might also want to go to Symantec's website and look up the virus fix manually.
