What do the numbers mean on detonator drivers?

I just downloaded 23.11 and my driver reads 4.13.01.2311
My roomies comp reads 6.13.10.2311
just curious.

The numbers before the last dot signify the version of DirectX that the drivers are optimised for. In this case I think 4.13.01 means DirectX 8.1.

I have no idea about the 6xx though. Are you sure those are nVidia's drivers? Or maybe it's a bad build or something.

The 4 or 6 designates what OS the drivers are meant to be used with. 4 is for 9x/Me, and the 6 is for 2k/XP?.
