Try going to Audioreview and click on the TechTalk link. There should be some people who can help you more readily on that board. It isn't posted to quite nearly as frequently as AT but within a couple of days you should have some answers. 🙂 Hope this helps.

Hmmm... one feature of AudioCatalyst I like is that I can do the encoding directly from the original CD, without ripping it first. Saves time and effort. Works great at 12X with my Celly 880 and Panasonic drive (max speed). However, if I use my Pioneer drive which maxes out around 17X, my Celly is too slow, and can't keep up with the drive --> errors. I can of course use an intermediate .wav file though.

I'll check out EAC tho.
 
Winamp + MAD PlugiN + DFX 4.1

I've tried lots of others but always end up going back to winamp.

I'm just to used to its interface - it seems much easier to use and with those plugins mp3z sound good enough for me
