What do people order at Starbucks?

I get coffee/tea with free refills, air conditioning, a couple power outlets, the occasional hobo, and a bunch of whiny classmates who complain about college tuition and weight gain while downing their $5 frappuccino with extra caramel.

Hot chocolate is probably a safe bet. When I was down south where they have Starbucks I went with friends and I had no clue WTF anything was, so I just asked if they have Hot chocolate and they did, so I went with that. 😛

In a pinch, Blonde/Veranda, black, no sugar.

I don't particularly like Starbucks otherwise because it's not good value, and their other coffee items don't appeal to me. Most of their coffees are dark roasts while I prefer lighter or medium roasts. I usually just get Dunkin' Donuts, McDonald's, or Green Mountain from the nearest gas station if I'm out and about (usually late night or very early morning).

And in case anyone doesn't know, lighter roasts can have more caffeine than darker roasts, though in Starbucks case they happen to have higher caffeine per ounce than most places because they use more coffee grounds per ounce during coffee making. I don't mind strong brews, but when you combine that with dark roasts and take it black, it's pretty bitter... and it's not all just coffee flavor, it's a lot of burnt beans overpowering any subtleties in aroma or flavor that you can pick up in a lighter, single origin coffee, for instance. Dunkin' Donuts is better for a medium roast blend.

I don't like sugary coffee based drinks. I also don't think Starbucks makes great coffee, especially their espresso. Yes, I'm a coffee snob. I won't apologize for it. Their coffee is decent and I can get a pourover if they're not busy, so I usually get that.

Not a fan. I like strong coffee but I find Starbucks has a bitter acrid bite to it. I usually only drink espresso, but if I'm going to water coffee down my first choice is not starbucks.

$2.75 for an iced quad espresso with a touch of milk. I'll sit and people watch for about 5 minutes while I drink it before refilling it (free with my Starbucks card) with iced coffee and be on my way

It's not Starbucks, it's Tenbucks!

Order a Raspberry Latte. Or a Chi latter. During the summer a Mocha coconut is damn good!

Or tis the season for a Pumpkin spice latte.

Someone posted an image of Cafe Bustelo. I buy that all the time for my espresso machine. Damn good!

Lots of miserable pricks in here...

You can get coffee, you know, because they sell coffee. Have a sweet tooth? Ask the barista to suggest a beverage or food item.

Next week, we teach OP how to wipe his own ass!

coffee if you just want a pick me up.
You can ask for anything dirty and they'll add a shot of expresso. I like getting dirty chais.
Their pastries are actually pretty good. They bought La Boulange a couple of years ago and they sell their stuff in the stores.

They have different regional items/drinks you can get when you're traveling.

I order biggest size coffee black, and then I look through whatever blends they are offering, and I guess at which one will be the least burnt with the least acidity. Usually if they have a breakfast blend or sumatra those tend to work. Then, I gulp it down, and Make sure to claim at least 1 refill before I go, because I am not paying between $2-3 for just 1 cup of coffee.

iced coffee or a berry refresher... their other frozen concoctions tend to have too much milk product for my stomach to deal with.

generic stabucks - Venti iced americano, 2% milk + 2 splenda

Fancy starbucks - Venti clover iced coffee - whatever Guatemalan or other south american blend they have - 2% + 2 splenda
