What do people here think of Planetside?

Looks a lot like Tribes which was my favorite multiplayer shooter of all time. I know about the $13/mo fee but it kinda looks worth it if it's fun.

I agree.
Tribes is the best games ever on a PC or second to EverQuest.
So, MMOTribes would be amazing on paper, but I heard the execution of PlanetSide left much to be desired.

I tried it, but I refuse to pay monthly fees for any game, especially after buying it.

It was fun for the one week trial... but the game is not nearly deep enough to get me to pay a monthly fee to play it.

Planetside was fun in the beta but died off for me after the free month. I'd say just wait for the new Tribes to come out.

Tribes IMHO, the best team FPS ever.

Last I heard, Tribes: Vengeance wasn't supposed to come out until at least December. Hopefully it will be better done than Tribes 2, because I don't think that the Tribes series can handle another huge embarrassing failure.

Agreed, Tribes 2 was the biggest gaming buzz-kill for me of all time.
