I have an existing network with a Linksys router/switch connected to 2 computers and my DSL modem. On one wall I have set up an outlet that is directly on the opposite side of the wall from my cable TV outlet.
What I want to do is pass through a network cable into the other room, and add a cable TV connector into this room on the same wall jack. My question is, what things do I need, especially what kind of network cable would I get, and what faceplates, etc. would I need to get to have a network and a coaxial cable connection? Would a faceplate for cable and telephone work? I didn't see anything at Home Depot that specifically said it would work with a network cable, but they look really similar to telephone.
