A lot of this 3D stuff is confusing as it seems like there are many different formats/versions/types of equipment etc.
I'm thinking about getting this TV: http://www.amazon.com/Mitsubishi-WD-.../dp/B003HINHKC
From what I understand, the Mitsubishi 60638 needs a "checkerboard" 3d input source. I guess checkerboard is a format of 3d. Mitsubishi recommends that I purchase an adapter to convert my input source into this checkerboard format (http://www.amazon.com/Mitsubishi-3DC.../dp/B003KTN0B4)
Do I need an adapter? For example, can my HTPC provide a signal in "checkerboard format"?
Right now I don't have a 3D capable video card in my PC but I'm looking at some of the nvidia ones. What else do I need besides the card to make 3D work? Do I need to buy this "3D Vision Kit"? What about the "3DTV Play" kit?
