Has anyone else noticed a major improvement in the graphics and frame rates of online play in BFV over the last few days? I haven't applied the 1.01 patch yet, but was there a server patch released that's responsible for how good it looks and plays now? We started playing last night and the first map we joined was Lang Vei. The first thing I noticed was how incredible the sunset looked and all the character models, vehicles, weapons, and terrain looked better than ever before. We always play on low-ping servers, but the game was MUCH smoother than ever before - even on my roomie's 9600XT. I've always had good results with my 9800 Pro, but last night was almost like playing for the first time because I wanted to check out the incredible detail of everything.

I just posted a thread with my results from BFV, from my experience, I'd say the ATi cards have a significant advantage in BFV.

If you are looking for a minimum frame rate of 70FPS with the graphics set at 'highest' at 1024x768, all I can say is good luck. Both my 9700 (at Pro speeds) and 5900XT dropped BELOW 15 FPS when zooming into complex areas with a sniper rifle when 'graphics' was set to highest at 1024x768. Moving graphics to just high instead of highest saw an increase in the minimum frame rates of about 300% at those same conditions.

With the difference I saw between the 5900XT and the 9700(Pro), I'd say that for BFV you want to get and ATi card. Unless I missed the 'magic' nVidia setting that gives me an extra 20FPS.

Hey moneyshot, did you even see Fahrenheit 9/11 yet? If you did, I doubt you would be so in favor of "Dubya".

Let the truth set you free...

lol referring to a Michael Moore film as the truth makes me roll.

Dubya sucks, and I will be voting Kerry-Edwards, but Michael Moore is a joke.
