What do I need to RAID 2 disks?

I'm building a new system and want to have a RAID disk.
I am going to buy 2 of these (40GB EIDE ULTRA ATA-5 DESKSTAR 7200RPM 60GXP).

Do some mothergboards come with RAID controllers now, or do I have to get a special card? Any recommendations on cards or motherboards?

Thanks.

Either a motherboard with an onboard RAID controller, or an add-on RAID controller.

Many motherboards now have them (ASUS A7V133, IWILL KK266R, BX133 RAID, etc.)

As Gregg stated, you can purchase some of the high end motherboards with an onboard raid controller. I personally recommend the iWill KK266-R since it is very stable, very fast, and has an ISA slot. It comes with an onboard AMI raid controller. In addition the retail packaging is the best I have ever seen.
