Do I really need to get a receiver or something like that? I will have a setup where I can use the red and white audio cables (RCA?) or the standard mini stereo plug for input. I have z560s for my speakers, so I thought I'd use them as a stereo at college too.

I'm getting that viewsonic adapter thingy on newegg to attach a VCR and tv antenna because I'm trying to keep space down but still bring everything I would want.

I suppose if I got desperate I could get a cd player with a radio in it or something to save the cash since I don't need the amplifying from a stereo receiver.

Well, thanks for any suggestion I get.

I'm also aware that one can listen to radio broadcasted on the net, but I'd rather just have the hardware.

I don't see a price on the newq site, maybe I'm just blind. How much are we talking for something like that?

Looks like about $80 for a newq equalizer with FM-radio, anybody have a solution that's cheaper?

To listen to the radio on your computer, you need to put it on the computer and turn it on, but you can also use your computer as a radio.
