Looking to get one to basically carry around with me so that I can make notes of my thoughts and what needs to be done..since I have a terrible short term memory. I probably don't need anything fancy, but I don't really want a barebones one either. What features should I look for? I'll probably look for a decent used one for around $150 or so..

How would this one fare? http://www.craigslist.org/sfc/sys/36831734.html

I would like to get one with bluetooth so that I can maybe add-on a GPS to it one day.

I have an iPaq 2210 - it seems like the best of the "cheaper" bunch, and it has Bluetooth as well. I've had it for about a week, and I love it- the build quality is superb, and the ability to hook it up to my car stereo and use it as an MP3 jukebox is extremely useful.
I'll be using it for SatNav when I start my new job, and it's doing an excellent job of that so far.

Combined with a 256/512Mb SD/CompactFlash card it's a very useful tool. A friend of mine has a Toshiba varient, and it seems to suck pretty badly compared to this- his is a fair bit slower, as well as looking cheap.

I'd try and get the Dell Axim X30
Link built in wifi and bluetooth. Everything you need & pretty slim. If you want a speed hog you can put another $60 and get the 624MHz

Zire 71 doesn't have bluetooth but the 72 does. 72 also has a voice memo recorder which is handy.

I have a cassette-tape adaptor (old radio in my car), and I just plug that into the headphone port on the iPaq. Assigning common Media Player keys to the buttons on the front means I can change tracks etc using the joystick on the iPaq. Works wonderfully :)

About 85% of those who purchase one don't use it after 4 weeks. This is why the sales growth of PDAs has been slowing, since people are beginning to realize they aren't all that convenient after all.

I have an IPAQ 2215 and I use mine all the time. I use it from everything to keeping track of my bank accounts to playing games. It's great!

I have a brand new (sealed in box, never opened or used) Dell Axim X30 which you can have for $169 plus actual shipping.

It uses Microsoft® Windows® Mobile? 2003 Second Edition.

LMK if you are interested.

You can get an old palm IIIx for under $50....it's a good, sturdy black and white PDA that will take notes, keep dates, read documents, and even play some games (there's a pretty big library of stuff for it online)/
