What do I need to know about DVD Media?

Some tend not to work in compatible DVD players...

Had some cheap 8x media that would NOT work in my player, through in the memorex no probs at all.

I always try to buy Memorex or Maxell (good brands for good price here anyway), but i recently bought a 100 pk. spindle of generic DVD+Rs for $65 Cdn., since they were far cheaper than the others.

No problems yet after about 6 or 7 burns.
