so i did use the defaults, 1:1 and not interlaced.

The video came out kind of choppy, and while the image was amazingly clear it was kinda deformed. should i change the aspect ratio and put it on interlaced?

also, for some damn reason, there is NO sound. how can i fix these things?

thanks

your video is most likely not interlaced. Aspect ratio is probably 16:9 (Wide Screen).

btw, id suggest using the program avi2dvd:) I can't seem to tell what your video looks like from here.

I generally don't interlace video. Interlacing was introduced back when the bandwidth available wasn't enough to transmit an entire low-res B&W image all at once, so they interlaced it to save bandwidth. Now we've got enough bit space available for HDTV, but the companies STILL transmit interlaced stuff, and such content even finds its way onto DVDs.
