What do I need to do?

I have a 06 Mustang, and extra amps and subs, now what do I need to buy to hook them up? A new headunit for the car, and the wires, is that it? Or do I have to buy a kit for the headunit, it looks like it may be hard to install one in the new mustang..

If you've never done it before, have somebody else do it for you.

But in essence a head unit/kit and wiring/wiring harness and you're all set. If you are new at this the chances of you shorting something are very high.

You don't need them. But it would help.

Are you satisfied with your current factory stereo and just want more bass? If so then you won't need to go buy all the other stuff.

It's not pretty but you could run speaker level inputs to your amp (need power for it), use it for a crossover and then output to your rear speakers.

I don't know your car/factory and there may be other components involved. I would guess that factory has an amp somewhere.

This is where having a pro do it would be in your best interests.
