Good Forums for this topic or links please.

I am trying to capture off my VHS tapes and onto my computer. I am using Pinnacle DV movie box and my capture looks horrid using pinnacle studio. What do you recommend?

eno, you seem to have a nice capture device, and if you can find a copy of Adobe Premier then you'll be set.

I use the Leadtek TV2000XP Deluxe. For me, all I did was connect the corresponding cables from the VCR to the corresponding ports on the TV2000XP Deluxe. You'll need to get a dual RCA male --> single stereo 1/8" plug, which shouldn't be hard to find (Radio Shack probably has it). Then I went to the PVR program that came with the card and set it to accept video from the appropriate input and pressed record. I think DScalar and Virtual Dub would also work.

I am currently tranferring over my VHS videos to DVD and I purchased a Canopus ADVC100 converter box, worked perfectly right out of the box. You will need to have/purchase software to capture the video to your computer and a firewire connection on your computer.

Check out the Canopus forum at their website and look for the ADVC100 thread. It will give you an idea what other people think about it and what problems they are experiencing, if any.

Good luck with your purchase decision,
