title says it all. I have a Speedstream 3060 internal modem now.
I need to share internet/printer with another PC. I cant do the 2 NICS and
crossover cable method I need to go another way. Help anyone please.
I dont have external yet, but I dont mind buying one I just need to
make sure I buy the correct hardware. I didnt know if my computer
could find the modem to dialup if it had to go thru a router to find it.
If thats not a problem, then Ill buy an external dsl modem and a router.
If you have an external DSL modem (or get one) and router, the router can do the 'dial up' and connect the DSL.
I have a Efficient Networks or SpeedStream DSL modem (forgot which one) and a Linksys 4 port, the router keeps the DSL line on all the time for my 3 PC's
get the Alcatel Speed Touch Home, it will cost exactly $125 from BSFA or you could try to save 10$ bucks on ebay. The linksys befsr41 is a good choice, yes I believe it supports printer sharing .. well hope this helps, good luck ..
