I recently purchased a LCD TV with a built-in tuner. I currently have regular old Comcast cable. What do I need to get HI-Def?

I thought I read somewhere that some cable companies don't lock their High-def signals, so you can just plug in and go. Is this the case for Comcast?

If not, what is a good indoor antenna that I could purchase?

Finally, our any college games broadcast in free HD today? Thanks for all the help. You guys rock!

I don't know about Comcast, but with Time Warner you need to have digital cable to get HDTV channels. If you just want to pick up OTA channels, then the Zenith Silver Sensor is a good indoor antenna.

QFT

I have 2 of these, one on my hdtv and another on my pc's hdtv tuner. These are the best antennas I have found for the size, and price (mine were about $40 each).

As long as you are within 15-20 miles of the brodcast antennas, and have few obstructions, you should have no problem picking up OTA signals with the antenna on a ground floor of your house. No need for attic mounting, although I did mount one of mine up there for bettter signal quality.

I bought mine at Best Buy. I don't think Radio Shack carries them, but I could be wrong.
