What do I need as an access point?

Our small community library has three PCs networked, sharing a T-1 with a router and an 8-port hub. They want to add three more PCs to the network. Because of cabling and other considerations, I have suggested adding the three new PCs with wireless PCI cards.

I am thinking of adding the SMC 11Mbps Wireless Access Point and connecting it via Cat5 to the hub; then putting in the wireless PCI cards.

Will this work? Does anyone have a recommendation for the PCI cards or are the Linksys cards from buy.com for $45.09 as good as any?

$45 just gets you an adapter for the $120 PCMCIA card for a total of about $170 for a PCI 802.11b card.

Other than that it sounds good.

I went with the DLINK, cheaper and still has lifetime warantee.
