I just got a leadtek geforce2 gts today in the mail and when I openned it I found that it had been stickered as a Geforce2 Pro. Whats the difference between the two and how can I be certain of which one I have.

Thanks
Howard

The GeForce Pro is basically a faster card. I wouldn't complain if I got one of those :)

Check the RAM: if it's -6 ns, then it's a GTS(333MHz DDR); if it's -5 ns, then it's a Pro(400MHz DDR). Good luck:)! I hope you got a Pro;)!

5.5ns DDR ram is rated to run at 366mhz
Somewhat inbetween

Hard to say if its a pro or a GTS

try installing the coolbits reg (www.geforcefaq.com) and seeing what the default clock speed is.

Yeh, I got a GeForce 2 64 MHz DDR -5.5ns and it is labelled as a Pro! Good card but runs a little warm.

If it's a real PRO, then it will definitely have 64MB of 5ns RAM factory clocked at 400. There are some companies that put "pro" in the name of the card to throw you off. I think the only company that use 5.5ns RAM on their non-pro GTS 2's is Leadtek and it's a good performer and highly overclockable. Hope this helps!
