What do I get first? 6" Lift or Winch bumper?

I am not sure which I want to get first. I am kinda leaning towards the winch bumper just because the total cost will be about $1000 (Bumper + 8000lb winch) while the lift would be around $2400. (lift + tires/rims + skidplating + truss + idler brace + sway bars)

Lift: 3" suspension 3" body
Bumper: Plate winch bumper

For those of you windering, the reason I am not fabbing up a front winch bumper is because for $500 it is not worth the time. Materials would be about $250 plus a large amount of measuring/mockup/fab time and I need to have it on in a weekend because it is my daily driver while I work on my ram.

1" body at MOST.
Not really an option on a zuk. On everything else, I 100% agree. Body lifts are not only a bad idea, but they are... well, bad ideas anyway.

If you have the clearance/tires to avoid getting stuck, you won't need the winch (as often 😱). 😛

Rock on with the Suki' mods!!! 😎

You don't say if you already have some decent rubber and /or on it. I'd go for:

1. 2-3" suspension lift
2. Decent rubber
3. Winch bumper

Ground clearance + good rubber will get you out of most situations. 🙂

If those are my only choices, I say bumper. If I see you with one of those on the road, I won't smack my forehead in exasperation at how much I hate lifted vehicles.

whats wrong with lifted vehicles?
or lowered for that matter

You might want to consider doing the suspension lift and winch/bumper, and leave new wheels/tires for later -- if you put the winch on first, your front end will drop due to the additional weight.

Whenever you do purchase your lift, keep in mind the additional weight for the bumper/winch. 🙂

Actually, they first thing they would tell you is dump that thing and get a Sammi.
I like the sidekick, and don't plan on getting rid of it. I don't plan on making the best vehicle I can, just one I am happy with.

Also, if I get a Sammi, I would have to shell out almost $1300 for a new computer, as the computers have major issues. (bad solder and caps that blow).

it is for other people who get stuck. I drive within the limits of my vehicles. 4' deep mud is not within the limits of a Zuk, and I don't plan getting stuck 🙂
