If I wanted to sell my used HDD, what is the best way to erase its contents? I know it is not fully erased no matter what I do, but what is an efficient way of at least doing something?

format it a few times. There are programs out there that you can pay for that will do it too. Wrights 1s and 0z to the disk i think. do a search on the forums and you will find plenty of info on it.
