winace will handle those files. as for the nfo and sfv files, open up a notepad window and drag those files in. that should allow u to view those files.

WinRAR and WinACE are the main programs of choice for those kinds of files.
Just use notepad to open up .nfo files.

On a totally unrelated subject, I think piracy is wrong.

winrar will extract form the ## files.
the .nfo is just text.
and the .sfv = Simple File Validator
use quicksfv or winsfv or pdSFV to view the file, and it will check all the other ## files to make sure
they all downloaded correctly and without errors. (i use pdSFV)

Arent these files usually associated with warez?

Yes, and the fact that you, me, and everyone else here knows this fact says something about the proliferation of wear-ez in our meager little lives.

SFV files distributed with RAR files contain checksums of CRC32 hashes of the RAR file. Use this nifty tool called PDsfv to verify SFV files and make SFV files. NFO files have info on the release in the RAR. To view properly, use Terminal or Fixedsys fonts.

FrontlineWarior..

I have no idea if you're being facecious so I'll humor you. :)

Warez is a term commonly used for pirated software. Most warez now are packed in multipart archives for easier transmission over the 'net.

.nfo = iNFO file. This text file documents things such as the warez group/members who were involved in cracking/distributing said program. Also may contain release notes and a serial number.

.sfv = CRC verification file. Using the proper program one can compare the CRCs of the downloaded archives with the original CRC checksums in the SFV file, as they often get corrupted.

.r## = where ## is replaced by a number. Files packed by RAR compression, one of the more commonly used compression programs for warez archives, due to its multipart archive handling ability, speed, and reliablilty.
Sometimes also seen as .### files or even .s## if it's a really large archive (from r01-r99 to s01....)
