What do I do with a .cue, and a .bin file (movie)?

I have the latest Nero if I need to burn it to disk, but I can't figure out how. I think the movie is in AVI format, but not sure. I have a software VCD player (uninstalled-just downloaded it) Windows Media Player, QuickTime, Divx player.... Any help appreciated. I missed the whole VCD era.

BIN/CUE is just a different CD Image format. You can use CD Burning programs like CDRWIN and Fireburner to burn CD's using BIN/CUE formats. Here's where they can be found:

CDRWIN
FireBurner

Fireburner can also convert the BIN/CUE format into a .ISO format, but its generally preferable to just burn using the original format.

Thanks, after trying CDRwin for a while, and not figuring it out too well (I made a nice little .cda file somehow) I got Nero to do it just by going to File->Image and then pointing it to the .cue. It loaded the bin on it's own and burnt a successful disk.

Here is my new problem;
The created disk has it's own player which is designed to open via autorun. It's called Sony VideoPress Player. It opens fine, but when I press play I get this error;

#ES3277{SimMciOpen]MMSYSTEM 277 A problem occured in initializing MCI. Try restarting Windows.

This is a repeating error regardless of fresh boot. I don't have any media players loading at boot up

I'm not sure. It seems to me that you might be missing a codec required to play that movie. Is it a VCD with .dat files? Or if the movie is in .AVI format, you might require either the smr codec, or the nAVI codec or the DivX codec; depending upon how its compressed. Anyway, once you figure out what codec you may need, you can download it here: Codec Warehouse. This site also has a bunch of movie players which might do the trick for you.

The movie information is in a .dat file on the cd. the .dat file is in a folder called "MPEGAV". The cd includes it's own player but I think that it requires a dll file or something that is already being used in windowsME (just a guess).

Ok, i don't know much about that .dll file that you mention... However have you tried any of the VCD players that are available on that site I mentioned in the earlier post? One of those might work without that error.

No, but I did try that enlargement thing advertised on the banner, and that didn't work, so why would the codec? j/k... I'll try now. I already have 7 or 8 media players just a little hesistant to try another, but I shall anyway -Thanks.

**update- I used a .bin to .mpg converter from the site and was able to watch the movie- Thanks!
