I have a windows 95 machine and occasionally the system freezes up while booting. After I press the ctrl-alt-del keys the blue screen of death displays: A FATAL EXCEPTION OE HAS OCCURED AT 016F:BFF9A25B THE CURRENT APPLICATION WILL BE TERMINATED.

Hi,

You made a good start there but stopped too soon. If you post the rest of the blue screen message and some other details, we may be able to help.

Give us:

1. the wording for the whole BSOD, minus any columnated "dump" at the bottom, if there is any such
2. the history of the machine including whether it's Win95a or a later version (Win95b or c or whatever) and whether or not you had just recently installed some device or software before this started occuring
3. a listing of the startup items which your system runs at boot time / a listing of all of the tasks that show up right after bootup when you hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up the Close Programs dialog

Regards,
Jim
