There are nine presents for me from my wife under the X'Mas tree . . .

I only have 3 for her. Am I in trouble?
 
Hide 7 of them and pretend you don't know anything about them. Win win, you have more presents for her, AND you can open them in secret later.
 
Hmm, my three are one 'main' gift and two 'side' gifts. Mayhap it's time to hit the (horrible horrible) mall 🙁
 
If you put a lot of thought/time into getting what you believe she really wants....

Hence it's the thought that counts. 🙂
 
Unless one of those three presents is jewelry, a Lexus with a bow on it, or a something of significant sentimental value, you're going to be in for it.
