I have just upgraded everything, well nearly. cpu- AMD XP 3000 barton (was XP 1700)
video- Albatron fx 5900xtv (was fx5200)
sound- creative live sound blaster 5.1(was onboard)
ram- 2700 x 2 256 kingston DDR
HDD- samsung 80GB (was seagate 40GB)

I have only got 1 more option for the full thing "THE MOTHERBOARD" I am currently running on a EPOX 8K9AI Kt400 8235 I have about $250 Australian dollars to spend. The BIG question is what do I get for my hardware to give me the best performance for the games????
I have been told for the dollars I would be doing the right thing if I bought a Asus A7N8 Deluxe for $205 or a Albatron-KX18D ProII-AMD-NForce2 for $169. I am only new to this whole thing I would appreciate any advice as I am wanting to buy a new board in the next few days because I can't stand the problems with my VIA chipset. Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks from an unexperienced Aussie

The Abit NF7-s is a superb overclocker, and I've read members here who've used both it and the Asus state the Soundstorm audio is better on the Abit despite both having the MCP-T.

One happy NF7 user here. So I say go for the NF7-S for its overclockability and price.
