I realize I'm probably 2 years behind on this question, but what do I buy for video out to TV? I'll spend up to $150 for a video card with this feature, unless someone can heartily convince me to pay more. To give you an idea about my spending habits, I went from a Pentium 200 w/OUT MMX to a Duron 750->875 at a time when the Athlon 1400's were available.

So, I mean some serious convincing to spend more than $150.

Thanks for the help. By the way, I went to FAQ and searched for video out...not too much help there. Sorry if this is a "million-question" topic...

The best TV-out chip currently is ATi's Rage Theater, found on most of ATI's own and 3rd-party ATi chip based cards.

Get a Radeon 8500. You can pick one up for $110, it outperforms every card but the GeForce 4 Ti series in 3D, is DirectX 8.1 compliant, and has the best TV/Video out implementation of any consumer-level card.
