What do Barton processors look like?

Just got a pair from NewEgg and I swear they don't look like the original I got. Aren't they suppose to have a heat spreader on them? Is there a 2500 non-Barton?

XP2500+ only came in the Barton form and as Viper96720 said, never came with heatspreaders.

Got a pic of it?

A core on a Barton is square or close to it while a T-Bred's is VERY much a rectangle.

Thats why I said not quite square but "close" to it. if you have a T-Bred you can EASILY tell it. Also the code AXDA2500DKV4D everywhere I have seen is a barton

AXDA2500KV4D (my chip's marking) with a rectangular die. This matches my confirmed Barton 2500+ chip. The difference between a Barton and a standard Tbred is an extra 256KB of L2 cache.

The Barton chips have a rectangular die and Tbreds are more square-like. Look at Newegg pics to see the difference.

I know you know. I wasn't sure if the original poster knew. :)

apperently I didn't know much since beatle's barton 2500 is much more rectanglular than my 1700 T-Bred. Kinda wierd how they changed the Barton's like that... Squarish and VERY rectangular.

Thank you all, even those who felt I was as stupid as I am. I guess these are right.
