What do AMD's recent advancements mean for enthusiast computers 1 year from now...

I'm a flight sim geek and CPU speed is as critical as video card processing. Unfortunately, most flight sims doen't take advantage of multiple cores. That said, most simulations are implementing Vulcan which I understand is supposed to use more CPU cores...

Anyway, I'll be upgrading about this time next year. Can I assume AMD will have something available that performs better at gaming than the 9700?

You really only need X-Plane 11 today. They are adding Vulkan to the next update.

XPlane 11 is on my radar but my 2 favorite sims right now are DCS and IL-2 BOS...
