Looking to pick up one of these and prices are ranging from $399.00-$499.00

Just curious what most people paid, Are there usually any deals on these cards or is this the norm for pricing.

I'm looking on newegg and zipzoomfly, any place else I should be checking?

Thanks

Got an HIS X1900XTX on April 11th from Newegg for $499 initial cost with a $50 MIR & actually received rebate yesterday!

(plus I had a $50 store credit left over from X'mas which I applied to the purchase.. final cost $399 + shipping)

okay so this is the norm for pricing on this card, with such fluctuation out there by different brands I wasn't too sure.

I'll have to keep my eyes open for and mail in rebates aroud the time of purchase.

Yes I see that, problem is i'm not ready to order yet :(

I'm hoping the prices are the same once i'm ready.

I was just wondering if these were the prices everyone else was paying, and it seems to be a yes.

Unfortunately deals do not wait. There is nothing to say that a similar deal won't come up when you are ready to buy but at the same time there isn't any guarantee that a similar deal will come up.

Just wait until the DX10 cards hit.

Look at the X850XT: you can buy one on Newegg for $139.99 after rebate...there are people who paid over $400 for that card when it came out.

DX10 will come out, people will waste their $$ on them and use them for DX9c games and the DX9 cards will drop in price just like they always do. The best rebate in the CPU industry is time...

Oh I cant wait that long,I'm moving over to PCI express from an AGP motherboard.

I have a 6800GT right now and this just isn't cutting it anymore at my resolution of 1600x1200

I will be moving to DX10 once available but there needs to be something in between that card right now :)

And how long do you think it will be before DX10 games come out in any sort of numbers? A long time. Wait sucks, buy now and enjoy.

Diamond MM branded X1900XT 440 shipped from Newegg last week. Diamond's card looks exactly the same as every other card though, 'cept it comes in a plain white box labeled "Radeon X1900XT 512MB PCI Express" :p

$385 on the FS/FT forums about a month ago. BIOS flashed it to a X1900XTX. Runs without issues even with Oblivion at 1280x960, 4xAA, 16xHQAF, and HDR. Lowest framerates I've seen are outside with lots of NPCs, and even then it never dips below 30FPS (ran Fraps for a bit just to see the difference between outside, dungeons, indoors, etc).
