Just got my bonus, the timing was nice because I didn't even think I was getting one (so I felt ok splurging a little).

Bonus aside, what did you buy yourself for Christmas? Don't worry, I spent significantly more on other people :)

Sony bookshelf speakers (for my office computer):

WD Live (already have one, this is to retire my bedroom HTPC=NO FAN NOISE!):

nothing. wife would kill me.

Hahaha, I gave her a little extra shopping money in the morning to smooth things over :) Besides, she gave me (we opened gifts this weekend) a stereo amplifier, so I *HAD* to buy speakers, right?

Vegas- that's funny, my wife wants to go for our Anniversary, but the last time I went to a casino... Well.. Let's just say we ate spaghetti and ramen noodles for the next 2 week!

4GB of PC1600 DDR-3 Ram
OCZ Vertex 120GB SSD
Cooler Master 1156 Heatsink

It all started with wanting to buy an AMD 620 and board for less than $100...now I'm at $600 and rising...and I want more too!

Isn't that how it always works out for upgrades? If you don't mind me asking, how much was the ram? I have an AM2 motherboard and wanted to add some more DDR2, but prices seemed to have skyrocketed. I may just have to upgrade to an AM3 motherboard + ddr3 memory

A $450 (shipping included in price) computer: Quad core E8300, 4 GB memory, 500 GB HD internal, 500 GB external for backups, Radeon video card with 512 MB memory, 6-button laser mouse, speakers, Win 7 64 bit, multi-card slot reader, DVD burner, etc. It isn't anything special but I couldn't beat the price anywhere and it'll blow away my nearly 5 year old computer.

A $20 router (wireless N).

A $130 24" LCD monitor (assuming my wife takes my current one).

It'll all go nicely with the SSD that I'll buy with Christmas gift money.

WD Live. You helped talk me into it. :sneaky:

haha.. Awesome! Be sure to upgrade the firmware before you even use it for the first time. I had an annoying issue with Windows 7 shares out of the box. Also, I didn't even know this (since I use my xbox for netflix), but playon (www.playon.tv) is compatible with the WD Live! That means hulu and netflix on it, which is pretty nifty and the main reason I bought another one today.

I've been a bit on a spending spree now that I have a real job, but since it's all been over the last couple months, I'll call it a combo with Christmas too :p

Panasonic AE4000U

SVS AS-EQ1

Those were not necessarily for Christmas though...

More Christmas related for me:
LOST Seasons 1-5 on Blu-ray
A new mouse for work
Blu-ray burner for my computer
I spent $25 on Steam last night on some random games

I guess that's about it?

I'd post one more thing as a combo gift, but that's hopefully on its way right now for delivery and I don't want to mention it since my gf is on the forums.
