What did you buy for Black Friday 2019?

My Black Friday was over before it began. My current laptop started flaking out about a week ago, so I ended up grabbing a new laptop from Dell Outlet. Not the greatest deal out there, but decent for the specs.

$545

Dell G5 15"
i5-9400H
1080p IPS screen
8GB RAM
128GB NVMe
1TB spinner
GTX 1650
Back-lit keyboard

They had A LOT of G3 laptops, even some starting just around $400, but the screens weren't rated very good in the reviews I read, and the battery was much smaller than the 4-cell 60 WHr batteries that come in the one I bought. The reviews state the the G5 should get around 10 hours of battery life when not doing demanding stuff.

I was almost able to nab a pretty decently loaded XPS 15" for around $650, but someone checked out with it first, so I just received an error message when checking out with it. 🙁

I started my Black Firday shopping a week ahead, since I need to start a home office soon..

Ordered the items below through Amazon
TP-Link AC1900 Archer A9
VIVO Dual monitor desk stand
One of the cheap 27 inch Dell LCD monitor
A L shape desk
Netgear 8 ports unmanaged switch

Plus I have not gotten the wife any gift for the last three Xmas, got her a Fire HD 10 with additional 20% off the discounted price of $99. Trading in my old Fire HD 7 for an extra $10 off too.

Ordered a refurbished Acer Chromebook off Newegg for the kid to use.

Nothing tech related yet. Been bouncing around between a bunch of stuff Panasonic DP-UB820, LG 32ud99-w , various storage. Not sure if I'll pull the trigger or not, don't need anything other than maybe a backup keyboard/mouse.

Not much yet. Some clothes for Mrs. Boomer...still looking for a decent replacement for my 65" Panny plasma that's developing screen problems. Don't have a lot of money to go crazy with...looking at a couple of Samsung sets at Costco.

edit: settled for a Samsung 65" RU800D tv From Costco. Not the best, but decent enough. If we decide we don't like it...Costco's liberal return policy will come into play.

MSI Meg x570 Unify
AMD Ryzen 3900X
16 GB G.Skill FlareX
1TB Samsung 970 EVO M.2
FEZIBO sit/stand desk base

Already have other computer components and desk top.

More than last year but it's just too much work to keep track of all the deals. By the time I discover them they're gone.

I do online only, no interest in standing in line or battling crowd to save money. I bought Roku Ultra from BB, $50+tax, it came with 50% off 2 months Sling, so that useful too!

Picked up some parts for a computer I'll be putting together for my wife, but we don't need much else, so I didn't really look for anything

I didn't get much as I usually shop online but here is what I bought

Nintendo Switch Console - Bestbuy
Super Mario Odyssey - Bestbuy
Fitbit Versa 2 - Bestbuy
Harry Potter Collection On Blu-ray + Digital - Wal-Mart
Pair of Avia Tennis Shoes - Wal-Mart
2 x Holiday Pajamas Set - Wal-Mart
2 x 8TB WD My Essental HDD - Office Max
5tb WD Portable HDD For Games - Office Max

All together I only spent about $800-ish dollars. Now most of the big shopping is done, I gotta get all the little stuff now. That will probably be done online though!!

Visited Walmart, not surprisingly the TV I wanted was sold out. Bought a Philips Hue lightstrip at Target, bought a latte and had dinner at Panera.

Thankfully a fairly cheap and uneventful BF.

Did almost all my BF shopping online and over the last month. Live in a small town of 4500 people...only local "major" stores are a WM, Belk (very small) and Home Depot (one of the 3 smallest in U.S.) Otherwise, have to drive a minimum of 40 min. to get near a mall or major B&M stores....and more like 1 hr. honestly.

Bought a 55" Samsung Q80 TV in late Oct. from Amazon for ~$200 less than Best Buy was offering on BF. Damned nice set.

ShopVac from Lowe's.

1TB Samsung 860 EVO from BB.

Bunch of clothes, mostly for wife and mostly from Kohl's and Belk.

Two pairs boots for myself from Clark's. Love Clark's.

WD Elements 10TB external for $160
2TB Sandisk SSD for $180
(2) 1TB Samsung 860 EVO for $110
Logitech G602 for <$30
2x16GB Gskill Trident Z Neo DDR4 3600 Cas 16 for $160
Samsung 27UK650-W 4k monitor for $420

Some odds n ends like cables.

I got 3 Samsung S4 tabs for the wife and kids from Best Buy $260 each.

My wife also insisted on new phones, so we got a pair of S 10+s from Costco for $509? each...

I also got a pair of Bean boots... 20% off plus Rakuten 15% rebate and a pair of Cole Haan work shoes 50% off plus 15% Rakuten rebate. The Rakuten plug in is pretty handy.

Gskill FlareX 16GB DDR4 3200, MSI X570 Meg Ace motherboard, and a 1TB Sabrent Rocket 4. From newegg.

Not exactly on black friday but around black friday I got an ASUS RTX 2080 for 500 dollars.
And a Trijicon TR24 for 748, plus tax.
