What did I do to my hard drive?

so uh, the jumpers on my hard drive were on the 32 gig clip or whatever setting..
anyways, i changed them back to the right settings but when i tried to partition it nothing changed.
i kind of miss having the 43 or 44 gigs i used to have..
anyone have suggestions?
 
i can't help you because i don't have that particular hard drive but one thing that might help you would be to edit your post to include the type and brand/specs of your harddrive

it's a 75gxp(yea, i know). i believe it is was 45 gigs before i messed it up
i'm not too knowledgeable bout this stuff but i hope that helps..
