MEDIC! Ok, my right elbow stiffened up on the ride home today. I can't really move it in any direction without it hurting. If I slowly stretch it out, by midday tomorrow it'll be fine for another week. Odd thing is, I can lift a normal amount of weight with no pain. But I can't extend my elbow straight out (a little pain), nor can I collapse it against my upper arm without a lot of pain.

What did I do to deserve this?

You were born. It's nothing you did to deserve it. Hey, I think you'll be OK, but it may take a while to heal. If you have medical insurance go see an orthopedist, preferably one who knows his/her business. Failing that, maybe a physical therapist, preferably one who knows his/her business. Good luck.

Edit: Yeah, try not to hyperextend it, especially with any kind of force.

If you have some bucks, you might also want to try some of those glucosamine supplements they sell in all the pharmacies. A lot of people swear by them to heal joint problems but there haven't been any good studies done to prove it. The companies who sell them are making far too much money to want to risk upset their own applecart by financing controlled studies! While drugs are strictly controlled by the FDA, the supplement industry is a friggin' free for all. I have joint problems off and on, so I take them anyway.
