Other than the obvious (a digital recorder and/or a gaming console), what device/s
do you most like to have connected to your flat screen TV and please say why.
What does this even mean? My TV currently has the following devices connected to it: cable box, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox, Wii, SNES, N64 and Dreamcast. Beyond that? I guess a computer is nice when I hook that up once every three years.
I know it's a DVR, but I like the software. It gets movies for me from all possible channels. I always have 3 or 4 new movies to choose from when I go to "My shows".
Just the other day it got Indiana Jones, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, and Serenity. Some of them have commercials, but that's what FF is for.
External USB 3tb hard drive to watch my HDTV (transport stream) captures.:awe::
Also the 3D blu-ray player to watch those 3D movies. Wireless hub for Netflix, etc.
The only things I have connected to my TV are an HTPC and internet router. The HTPC serves as my cable box, gaming system, and media player. I really couldn't stand to not have an HTPC on my main TV now.
