What dessert should I make for Christmas?

My options are buy and store, cook tomorrow, or cook in under an hour on Christmas itself (due to travel.)

What should I make? I do baked apples a lot, stuffed with butter, nuts and dried fruit, with a honey/brown sugar/spice/sweet wine mix but that doesn't seem too holidayish.

I have a bunch of good dark chocolate (happen to be helping out a chocolate company's HR team right now and they are properly appreciative ;) ) Could do something chocolatey.

Buy Black Forest cake
Or
Make cheesecake with a thin brownie like base with dark chocolate shaved on top

Spotted dick!

Seriously, it's pretty good, and tastes kind of Christmasy. I had some last week with honey on top. I have no idea how to make it, and buying a bunch of cans would be kind of spendy, but everyone has fun laughing at the name :^D

You had me at baked apples. If you want it more holidayish just put it in a holiday bowl or tin or whatever or stick a candy cane in it.

I'm making buñuelos: a traditional Colombian Christmas treat. Very easy to make and very tasty.

Do you like brownies? I have a KILLER brownie recipe...perhaps the world's best...

(no, there's no pot in them.)

Cheesecake with cherry pie filling on top. If you want a low-fat desert item for visitors on a diet, maybe Jell-O with whipped topping?
