I don't really care whatever project u are going to run, as long as it benefits the whole team.
Doing RC5 or ECCp will end the project sooner (both have less than a year to go before project-end), so a lot of power will become available then. Not all of it, I'm afraid, but enough. We should also keep in mind, this is not a team only event then. Other teams will benefit from ending one or more projects also.
The ECCp projectteam could use the power to try and get a little bit even with the other teams in the top5. We are loosing ground overthere very quickly. 🙁
Doing F@H will benefit mankind and will help our TA-F@H projectteam climbing into the top-producing teams very quickly, since it is a relative small project.
Doing Seti will also be a nice addition to our TA-S@H projectteam. They could use the power to fight off the two teams (HW FRANCE & DSLR, I believe) battling to overtake us
there.
I have only one advice: If you do not want to split up the herd, try to choose the project, in which the majority of the machines are suitable for.
I can talk from experience, that the PIV is not at all suitable for ECCp. It seems the higher the MHz, the lower the output. The remarks of PieDerro are very usefull here also.
For both Seti, RC5 and ECCp there is good proxy software available, so running the stuff on a network won't take much of maintenance after installation. I don't believe there is proxy software for the F@H project.
Also I have some experience in running both the ECCp and DNet client completely hidden. I believe the S@H client can run hidden also, but am not sure there.
Hopefully this helps u somewhat in choosing the right project, you want to get involved in. I definitely welcome you and the awsome herd you bring in.
