What db do you think stock case fans and CPU fans are?

Hi gang,

I'm about driving myself crazy trying to pick out some case fans and a fan for my new XP-90. I keep looking at the db measurements on the fans, comparing them to each other. But I guess I really don't know - how loud are the fans I have now?

I have a stock Antec case fan and a stock P4 heatsink and fan. Will anything I buy be quieter than what I have now? Or do I really need to keep looking at the db levels of the new fans?

If you go to Antec's site, I believe they list the decibals for their case fans under the case's specs.

i personally keep the db between less than 25

Take the fans out and get the model numbers off of them. Then go to google and search for that model number. Worked quite well for me. Now comes the part of replacing all of the fans (joy).
