I'm trying to find out when Julius Caesar died for this research paper thing. He died on the Ides of March, 44BC.

That's March 15th, 44BC. Is there any way to find out the day of the week that translates to?

you have to convert from gregorian to julian calendar, so it might be a bitch to figure it out using the standard algorithms.

the romans didn't even have the same concept of the week that we do... the closest thing to it was that every 8th day was a market day, but that didn't rule their lives near so much as monday rules ours

I remember a guy on That's Incredible or something who could tell you the day of the week any date fell on. You say "September 13, 1782" and he would tell you the day of the week within like 10 seconds or less. They gave him about 20 dates at random and he got it right every time.

As they say, That's Incredible!

OTOH, he would probably have to attend this school.
