1. citi dividends - used to use it for almost everything for 3% on groceries, gas and drugstores.
they dropped everything to 1% and the limit is $300 back a year so it rarely gets used now.

2. chase amazon - replaced the card above. 3% on same categories + amazon purchases

3. amex blue - for costco primarily

Just my USAA card. It's pretty much straight 1% back, but it's really convenient and not really worth it to me with how little I spend right now. 1% might be $10/mo to me on average.

I am using almost exclusively FIA (formerly of Schwab) Visa CC. I am getting 2% cold hard cash back from everything that I purchase and no limit.

I am paying off my balance before the due date and getting about $200 cash back per month (sometime more and sometime less) from my personal and business usage. I wish that I could pay my rent with this card.

Edit: One reason I do like this card is 2% cash back on ALL categories and I do not have to do a thing. Other cards with gimicks that require you to enroll or register with their "rotating" categories almost monthly.

Had to switch up recently with quite a few cards being devalued.

Right now I'm using Capital One No Hassle Rewards for 2% CB on supermarkets and gas. Citi Forward for 5X TY Points (roughly 3.5%) on restaurants and movies. Discover for rotating 5% CB categories and 5-10% shop discover for online purchases, and also for their 1% on everything CB.

Mostly Amex Blue for cashback, occasionally will pick up a citi aadvantage card or other for mile bonus on signup.

Thinking about switching to the Penfed cash card so we can get back to one main card and not have to put a few expenses each month on secondary cards at places that don't take Amex.

edit - penfed is 5% gas and 1% others, we are doing a lot of gas now but hoping to change that, might look out for another cash reward card.

Me, too but no rewards. Do you have to register?

Chase Freedom

5% back on certain things (varies by quarter)
1% on everything else.
Plus I got $100 back when I spent $500 in the first 3mo. of being a cardholder.

I like it so far.

This...

BTW, you only get the 2% if you're linked up with a Fidelity brokerage/retirement account.

My company reimburses me for tuition, which is like 6k now every 4 months and I pay it off with my FIA cc.... quick and easy money.

Edit: Nm, i think I'm talking about a diff card... mine is amex

I have a college platinum visa that has 5% CB for 12 months (8 months left)

I also have a UA mileage plus visa, 2 miles per dollar spent on ALL purchases. 5 per 1 on gas/groceries. 5 per 1 when buying UA tickets. The annual fee is only like 60 bucks..

Got the platinum plus and have had them since 1988 (via Wachovia). Think I need to make a call.

Thanks

If your credit limit is at least 5K or more, then you should be in the Visa Signature program.

Maybe with Fidelity but when I started this CC with Schwab, I did not have to do anything but open an account (free and took a few minutes) and when FIA took over, it was grandfathered in and did not have to do anything else, the cashback just automatically deposit into my Chase checking account every month as clock work. I will stay with this card until it kicks me out...hehehehehe.

Oh, one more thing. I do not have to pay any annual fee either.

Citi Dividend card but it's been progressively nerfed to the point of near uslessness. What was 5% cashback on groceries & gas is now like 1% or 2%.

I use my sony card quite a bit and rack up points on that for gift cards to lowes and the like. Also get decent discounts at Target and some other online retailers.

nothing really stands out as a big perk.
are those retail store discounts stackable with other discounts?

Hummm, pretty niffy for ZERO annual fee and 2% cashback on everything and no limit. Feel free to name a better card with similar or better benefits and zero annual fee. You can't compare it with cards with annual fee such as AmEx black card and such.

I don't understand your second comment.
