What CPU Socket is an HP Pavilion 552W

Does anyone know? I want to give my brother's computer a little upgrade, but I don't want to take things apart just to see. I tried google, but couldn't find the info. I have free access to a few older CPUs that would be an upgrade for him, so don't tell me to buy him a new computer or anything.

Thanks

All you have to do is remove the side and you will see what it is right away.

Let me google that for you.

Now look at the reviews and see what they have to say. As you will see its a 2.0GHz P4 so its safe to say it a S478. Not worth an upgrade. Doubt the chipset would support a faster CPU anyway.

Thank you for the information, but you can go suck a nut for the condescension. I couldn't find anything that specifically indicated that it was a socket 478. I have available a 2.4GHz P4 478 that is free, so the upgrade is a no brainer. Aside from that, I do appreciate the clarification.
