What CPU/Motherboard do YOU plan on updating to in the next 2 months???

I just updated my MB/CPU (and video card) so no likely changes in 2 months (unless I get more - a lot more - disposable income).

I never plan ahead that far . . . Barton is coming out and AMD has a higher FSB for XP; P4 has their new die-shrink dropping to the lower speed grades as well as hyper-threading and Hammer is around the corner.

I'll see when I have the $$$ and what's best bang- for-the-buck then.

I'm holding off the clawhammer to come out so I can upgrade to it or to teh XP 2600+ since the price will drop once the clawhammer comes out (hopefully)...then I can upgrade to DDR memory...i'm suffering with this PC133 RAM!!!

I am thinking of getting the p4 2.53ghz (waiting for newer c0 stepping to hit the market) first...I think my mobo is fine until I can get a dual channel ddr mobo which should hit before years end....

No rush now!!! My current mobo can take the 2.53ghz p4b chip and hopefully take it to 3ghz and 400mhz ddr and I should be happy until christmas!!!

My next setup... just ordered a VIA C3 933 from Axiontech.com for arount $45, already have an ECS motherboard I bought new for under $30. Gonna use a Volcano 7 heatsink with an undervolted fan. I have an OEM MSI Geforce3 Ti200 64MB that came from the manufacturer with a large heatsink and no fan. Translation: I'm building a very _quiet_ budget machine. I'm going for almost NO noise, plus some gaming capability. This will be a secondary system for me (or tertiary or whatever). I already have some overclocked Celerons (including two Tualatins and one Celermine) and an overclocked P3. Viva socket 370!
