Question What CPU for 'PS4 Pro' level performance?

I'm not talking about "spec" equivalent but performance equivalent for both AMD and Intel.

I know that the PS4 Pro GPU is about a gtx 1060.

Nigh on anything more or less, I believe 🙂 They didn’t update the CPU remotely as much as the GPU on the updated consoles.

To achieve the same frame rates in cross-platform titles, or at the same architectural level?

Practically anything from an FX-8320/Pentium G to a Ryzen 3 1200/i3-8100 Could fill that slot, the GPU being a 1060/580 to achieve playable frame rates at 1080p

A quad core Ryzen or i3 would be a good option.

Personally I wouldn't bother trying to run most PS4 titles with anything under something like a i5-4690 or the AMD equivalent. Anyone who's tried cross-platform titles with high or even medium settings on an i3 will know what I'm talking about.

That's why I specified a quad core i3, like the i3-8300. i3 is a lot more capable than it used to be!
